The fox gloves and thistles are amazing at the moment and even though neither Sam or I really didn’t have time for a proper shoot, we did just walk a few yards down our lane to see if we could bag a couple of shots in the amazing mixed tapestry of bracken, reeds, foxgloves and thistles that is all around us at the moment. Sam grabbed her hat and boots and off we set, fly spray in hand.
I was slightly shocked to realise the hawthorn berries were already also beginning to turn red, signalling that autumn is just round the corner and even though I had to spend a good 10 minutes searching for the fly spray that had been swallowed up by the undergrowth, but we did get a few lovely shots in the wild garden we are lucky enough to live in.
And to finish, even though Gally May was not clean enough for our impromptu photo shoot, she did manage to steal the show as she charged across the field embracing her freedom and charging across the field.
